Plenty to do

As I look back over the first two weeks of my holiday break, I realize that I have done so many things. There was not much time to just relax, we were always going somewhere. But it has been an awesome two weeks. My sisters came down, along with my brother in law, and we spent time together going downtown and many other places here. I am so glad that they came down, Christmas would not have been the same without them. Although my sister and brother in law had to leave last Thursday, we are still having fun here with my other sister who is going so stay for a while. Which should be very fun, and very exciting because you can not do anything with her that is not exciting.

Over break I have been spending time with friends, family, and spending time at the cancha playing soccer. Daniel and i still play there often, and continue to meet new people. We are very much accepted there by the guys, and continue to learn new things from them. Although we can not have any deep conversations with them, we can still get by with the little Spanish that we know. It is very sad though that school starts again in one week. But i think that I am ready to start.

Holiday Break

I realize that it has been a long time since I last posted something, so I am posting more now. Last Friday, a few days ago, was my last day of school for three weeks. Yes, three weeks off for Christmas break. I am so excited because my family is coming down, well some of them anyway. My sisters and my brother in law are coming the 19Th. My sister that is married, will be staying for a week, and my other sister is staying for...i think a long time. Maybe around a few months. I am so excited to see them because I have not seen them in so long and I miss them so much. I am glad for the break, for school was getting a little old.

For those of you that do not know, I pulled a tendon in my knee the other day, and could not play soccer very well. But all is well now, and i am back to normal.

Please continue to pray for all the missionaries here, and for me. Lately i have been feeling very homesick, and wish i could go home for the holiday and visit. But i can not. So please continue to pray that God would give me strength, and that I would walk close to him.

Thanksgiving

As I look back over the weeks, allot has gone on, and Thanksgiving was so awesome. We went over to our friends house, and all the missionaries here came, well, most of them did. It was a really good time, we had lots of food, as usual, and had lots of fun. I am so glad that we have lots of people here from the states that can celebrate holidays with us, it would not be the same without them. I also had the whole week of school, which was a blast, I loved it. Sorry that it has been a while since I did my last blog, but i have been kinda busy. Daniel and I continue to play futbol with some of the friends we made at the cancha. I hurt my leg though, playing volleyball, so that was a hindrance for a while. My leg is feeling better though, which is good. Daniel and I continue to meet new guys at the cancha, and continue to learn some new things from them. They are really good, and can teach us allot.


Please continue to pray for me and my family, and all the other missionaries here. We need your prayer and support.

I also got some new pictures up, sorry that it took so long. They are some pictures of my room, and other random stuff. I will get some more up sometime, I hope.

Recently i received a package from some of my friends from my old school. It meant allot to me to get the stuff. They sent some pop-tarts, some letters, and some clothes. I was so happy when I got it. So I would just like to thank all of you from Living Word Academy and everyone else who reads this blog, I love you all, and miss you very much.

It is a whole new world when you go to a soccer game here. Loud, energetic, and very exciting. That is the way it was when i went to two games. It is quite an experience, and is something that you won't forget. Both games i went to see the local home team, Puebla. The first game they played a team called Cruz Azul, the second game they played a team called the Chivas. Both games were awesome, but the second was a lot better. Puebla tied the first game one to one. But the second game they lost four to nothing. I kinda like Puebla, because i live in Puebla, but they are not very good. Although they are not very good, it is still fun to go to a game. You can barely hear the person that is right next too you when they are talking to you. Ha ha, so much fun.

Soccer is totally awesome. We still play a lot, whenever we can. Usually at least three times a week, and on the weekends.

So sorry that i have not gotten any pictures up yet, some people have complained, ha ha. I will try to get some up as soon as possible. Because i have some sweet pictures that i can show you all, totally.

Please keep up all of your prayers. I love you all, and miss you very much.

So much to say

So much has happened in the last few weeks. I have made some new friends at the cancha. I have also learned some more Spanish, which is always good. But it is really hard to understand people because they talk to fast, I'm like, what did he say? But everything is going well. School is still allot of work, and allot of stress. But when i am having a bad day, or i am feeling homesick, i always have someone to cheer me up. Daniel, he is totally awesome. He can make me smile even when i am feeling horrible. That is always a god thing too, cause i am not always happy. And I remember that I am here for a reason, and that God has a plan for me. And his plan is better than anything that I could imagine. I just need to keep this in mind, especially when I am wondering why I am here.

So I ask that you all would continue to pray for me, and my family. Plus all the other missionaries here, because it is allot of work, and can be very stressful at times. Pray that God would give us strength, and would keep us from getting sick. Because allot of people have gotten sick lately. It seems to be going around.

The hardness of concrete

For those of you who don't know, concrete is hard. It is solid, and can easily hurt you. I have experienced this many times. Why? Cause where we play soccer, Daniel and i, is totally made out of cement. It is called a cancha, and is actually pretty nice, but can be very dangerous. Especially if it is wet, which it is alot of the time, cause it rains now and then, but later it is sunny and we play. I never realized how dangerous it was to play on cement after ti rains. Wow, what a shock. It really don't like to play when it is wet, but Daniel makes me anyway. So when it gets wet, it is very slippy, no matter if u r wearing new shoes with great traction. U will still slip. So the other day, we were playing, and i was running in front of the goal to try to jump and head the ball out. Right before i was about to jump, i slipped, and landed right on the side of My head, man did it hurt, i could not see for like a couple seconds, and my head was pounding for the next couple hours. And i had a bump on my head for like a 2 weeks. Also, Daniel has had some pretty good falls. Cuts, bruises, sore ankles. And most of all, your shoes will get worn down very fast. I bought a new pair of shoes before i came down, and i like 3 weeks, they were worn out. Especially in the side of my foot, they were totally worn there, cause there was a hole from the cement, yes, the cement burned a hole in My shoe. So one night when we were playing, my foot started to hurt. and i looked down, and it had burned a hole in my shoe, then a hole in My sock, then a whole in my foot, and it was bleeding. It hurt real bad to. So i still have a mark on my foot from where that was.

But to look at it on the bright side, it is really fun to play there, even though it hurts sometimes. And it is fun to get to no some new guys, and make friends.

The sun will come out tomorrow.

Yes, the sun comes out everyday here. It is awesome! Like, it gets to be about, oh, around like 70 maybe, idk. But it is really nice, and there is no humidity, so how can u get better then that. Totally. But is also like rains almost everyday, funny i no. In the afternoon, it usually rains just a little bit, not much, just some little spritz, but some times it is like, downpour. I will have some pics up of this later. Sometime. Anyway, the people are really nice and all. Most of the guys that Daniel and i play with are really cool. They like us, and want to play with us, i guess.

But we still can not really talk to them yet u no. We need to learn more of the language, but that will take some time. We are just trying to be lights to them, and just get some relationships going. So that we can talk to them later. Please keep up the prayer.

The reason why......

So why am i making this page, and why does it matter? Well.......i just want to stay in contact with all of u in the states. U no. Plus, i want to keep u all in touch, with what i am doing, how i am doing, and other things. Also, i need some prayer, cause that is important. Plus, its just cool to have this page thingy. lol. So i hope that u like it, and that u visit it alot, and that u tell everyone about it. Tell the world that this page is.....real.

This is only the beggining

We have so many stories, and so many awesome things that have happened. But this is only the beginning. Daniel and i are trying to become friends with the guys who play soccer. And just trying to be lights. Reflecting Christ. Yeah. Most of the time, i am doing well. But then there are times when i feel like..........overwhelmed with sadness. But God is always there for me, and he gives me strength everyday.

School is still like, omw, not good. But i get over it. Usually the rest of the day, after school, is totally awesome. lol. Cause we play soccer, or eat food, Or, just go think in my room. Lots of things to think about, like how am i going to learn spanish, cause i cant really talk to the guys we play with, u no. I can say a few things, but i cant get into any deep conversations. haha, hopefully that will change soon.

And my room it totally almost done. I'm sooooooo excited!!!! its awesome. i will get some pics up eventually. So u can all look at it in amazement. haha. OK well, ttyl.

Thats tragic.........

Ok, so a funny thing happened tonight while we were playing soccer. we got there at like six, and played for like an hour or so. then my ball got kicked out in the street. then place where we play is right next to the street, it is called a cancha, and it is made completely out of cement. so My ball goes into the street. and this van is going by, it runs it over, but just gets the side, so it does not pop. plus it was kinda flat, maybe that's why it did not pop. anyway. so then we like play for another half hour. then someone else kicks my ball in the street. this time it was not that fortunate. cause, just as it goes into the street, a bus just happens to be going by. and, well, it ran it over, it went right over the middle of it. WoW. it sounded like a cannon. I'm serious. and it was totally destroyed, it blew up. kinda funny, yet, not. buts it all good. i only cried for a little bit, jk.

And it is real cool cause the guys know Daniel and i, they call us by our names. and it is just really cool. i still don't know all there names. but maybe i will get them all down some day. lol.

So much fun

The main sport down here is soccer. That is just what they do, all the time. So my friend Daniel and i play all the time. Like everynight for a couple of hours. It is sooooo fun. And the guys we play with, are sooo good. There is a bunch of guys that we play with all the time, they like us, i think. lol. And they usually want us on their team if liek other guys from somewhere else come over. So that is really fun. School. is. School, u no how it goes. lol. I guess i am getting used to it, but like, i dont really have any close friends there, and i just dont like it very much. But i hope that it will get better.

So, please pray for me, that i will get used to it down here, and that God will give me strength. I definately need it. Also pray that daniel and i will be a light here, and on the soccer court, that we would be the image of christ.

I love u and miss u all and hope that i can come to visit sometime in the summer.

And i hope to get this page fully up and running the next week or so.

A Different Place

So, i am in a differet place right now. Mexico. And it is real awsome. sorta. The weather is really nice, and the people are totally cool. But i totally miss u all in the states. The trip downwwas very, well, interesting. And very long. But it was pretty good, and i like totally was borred sitting in the car, for like hours at a time. But i got over it. So we are here now, and have our own house, which is pretty cool. And i play soccer like every night. And i have a friend. He is from the states, his name is daniel, and he is soo cool. I thank God that we made it here safe, and that i have someone to talk to in english. lol. Yeah.....so hopefully soon i will have my page all done, with videos, pics, music, and lots of other cool things. lol. Please pray for me, as a had to go to a new school, and i dont really have any friends there. So it is not that fun. Please keep me in your prayers, cause it is a new place, and a new language, and it si real hard to be here without all my friends from PA. so yeah...........hope to get this page done soon.
